Connect your own domain

Open your published site on your own branded domain — like example.com — instead of the standard project address. The standard address keeps working, and the secure connection is set up for you automatically once the domain is verified.

  1. 1. Add your domain in the dashboard

Open your project and find the Domain section. Enter the domain you want to use — a root domain like example.com or a subdomain like shop.example.com — and connect it. It is marked Pending verification until it points to us; your site does not open on it yet.

Each project has at most one custom domain, and a domain can belong to a single project at a time.

  2. 2. Point your domain to us

The Domain section shows the exact record to add, with a copy button — use those values. At your domain provider (where you registered the domain), add one record that matches what you entered:

    • A root domain (example.com) → an A record pointing to the address Wibe shows.
    • A subdomain (shop.example.com or www.example.com) → a CNAME record pointing to the standard Wibe address of your project.

If your provider proxies traffic (for example the Cloudflare orange-cloud proxy), turn it off so the record is DNS only — otherwise the domain resolves to your provider instead of to us and the check cannot confirm it points here.

  3. 3. Verify

Back in the Domain section, click Verify. If the domain already points to us, it turns Active and the secure connection is set up automatically — there is nothing else to do.

If it is not pointing to us yet, it stays Pending with a short note. DNS changes can take anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours to spread, so try again a little later. Verification only runs when you click — Wibe does not check on its own.

  4. 4. Open your site on your domain

Once the domain is Active, your site opens on it over a secure connection (https://). Your standard project address keeps working too, in every state — connecting a domain never replaces it.

  5. 5. Change or remove a domain

To switch domains or stop using one, click Disconnect in the Domain section and confirm. The site stops opening on that domain and the domain is freed, so you can connect a different one — or the same one again later. Removing a domain never affects your standard project address.
